Daniel Tamura, DDS
I was born and raised in Santa Ana, CA. I graduated from the USC School of Dentistry in 1981 after earning my BA in Economics at USC. I began practicing dentistry in Barstow, CA after graduation. I moved back to Los Angeles where I started a practice in Hollywood in 1983 before moving to our current location in the Miracle Mile district on Wilshire Blvd. When not in the office, I enjoy swimming, walking, reading, USC football and raising orchids.
I am a member of the Los Angeles Dental Society, California Dental Association and American Dental Association. I also enjoy attending many continuing education classes in order to serve you, my patients, with the best dentistry that I can.

Office Manager
I am Dr. Tamura’s Office Manager. My aspiration is to make your dental visit a positive and comfortable experience. Most importantly, I want our patients to leave with the benefits of a healthy smile. When I was young I did not smile because my teeth were crooked, enduring braces in high school until finally in my senior year I had straight teeth. Learning to smile without putting my hand over my mouth was a very hard habit to break. It wasn’t until a stranger said “why don’t you smile? You have a great smile”. Learning from then on that by smiling to another person makes them happy too. My hobbies include traveling, gardening, spoiling my dachshund and driving my air-cooled car on the weekends.

If you would like to make an appointment, please call or text our office at (323) 937-0197. or email us at office@DanielTamuraDDS.com with your request. In the email, please give us a couple of days and times that work for you along with a phone number and the reason for your visit. Your information will be helpful in scheduling you and to set aside sufficient time to properly address your concerns.

If you have a dental emergency when the office is closed, please call the office and leave a message. Your call will be returned as soon as possible as the messages are checked regularly. You will also be referred to an emergency phone number to use as needed.

Parking In The Building

The building has self parking from 7 am-6 pm. The parking rate is $2.75 each 15 minutes up to a daily maximum of $18. After 5:00 pm, parking is a flat rate of $5. There is no longer any valet parking. The parking garage gate closes at 6 pm but you are able to leave at any time.

Street Parking

Metered parking is available on Wilshire Blvd from 9 am-4 pm. Please note that there is no parking on Wilshire Blvd from 7 am-9 am and from 4 pm-7 pm due to rush hour traffic control. Parking is available in the surrounding neighborhood.

Lot Parking

There is a parking lot just east of the building. Another parking lot is across the street from the building.

Our practice accepts most traditional standard dental insurance plans and PPO plans. With these plans you have the freedom to see a dentist of your choosing.

As a convenience for our patients, we will file your insurance claims electronically. Dental insurance will generally pay for part of your treatment depending on your plan coverage and deductible amount. Dental insurance is designed to help you in getting dental care but the patient is responsible for the account. We will provide you with an estimate for your portion of the cost of treatment but cannot guarantee how much is covered by the insurance company. Please note that certain cosmetic procedures and teeth whitening are generally not covered by dental insurance. Please keep us informed of any changes in your dental insurance.
